Rydges Wellington Hotel, Wellington

I had a wonderful stay at the Rydges. The room was spacious and I was amazed by the fantastic hotel shower with perfect height, pressure, and drainage. The service was impeccable, with staff who genuinely seemed proud of their work. The location couldn't be faulted, being close to the harbor and city. However, the lingering steak smell from the restaurant kitchen was a downside. The dining experience left something to be desired with undercooked eggs and cold food, but the overall value for the price paid was good.

The hotel had clean and spacious rooms with great views of Wellington Harbour and Mt. Victoria. However, it was quite hot upon check-in, and noise from the hallway was noticeable. The service was friendly and helpful, with prompt room changes and discounts offered, but there were issues with concierge responses. The location was central, within walking distance of popular attractions, although being distant from the city was a drawback.
